Sample Patrol Meeting:
Patrol Leader's (PL) Responsibility
- Formally open the meeting and bring the group to order.
- Remind them that it's important to have just one conversation going on at a time.
- The Patrol Leader should give a quick briefing on any news from the Troop level.
- This would be reminders about events coming up.
- The Patrol Leader should entertain suggestions for TROOP Level activites
- The PL should record all suggestions (and who made them).
- The PL should entertain ideas for Patrol Level activites.
- The PL should record these and who made them.
- The PL should briefly go over what's happening at each troop meeting for the coming month. This should include what the Patrol's responsibility is:
- Maybe have a fun activity or some food to end the meeting.
Scout's Responsibility
- Show up at the Patrol Meeting on time.
- Behave and listen to the Patrol Leader (Cooperation!)
- Take notes so you can discuss any specific events with your partnts.
- Come with some ideas for the Troop & Your Patrol. You can ask Mom & Dad for ideas.
Remember whom you should call to get information about any troop or patrol activity. Call in the following order:
- CALL YOUR PATROL LEADER first.
- CALL YOUR SENIOR PATROL LEADER second.
- CALL YOUR SCOUTMASTER last.
