Description: Annual ski trip at Mt. Cranmore, Tubing at King Pine. Indoor camping at the Dedinsky cabin with late-night video game tournaments.
2/15/08 Camp Nobscott
Description: The troop is always looking for new campgrounds in New England. This one we found in nearby Framingham. Short hike with all of our gear to a cozy cabin. We also did another 2-mile hike with GPS for orinteering work.
1/25/08 Winter Camporee - Klondike Football
Description: Yearly event, but with a new twist this year. After sleeping in 14 degree weather, all events were formed around a football theme.

Description: Annual trip back to our summer campground. Deep fried turkey and dutch oven pies are always the favorite.
11/17/07 Zealand Hut Hiking
Description: 6-mile hike through snow and across rivers to our cabin destination. Inside temperature was 31 upon waking! Quick breakfast and another 6 miles out.
10/26/07 Fall Halloween Camporee
Description: Patrols will be making haunted houses for the other groups to enjoy. There will be a dinner cooking competition on Saturday.
9/28/07 Camp Bell Hiking
Description: 2-night adventure in 2700 acre camp owned by nearby council. We haven't stayed at this site before, and did a 5-mile hike up a small mountain.

11/06 Camp Split Rock
Description: Trying out a new council camp in Ashburnham. A 5-mile hike followed by a short trek up one of the nearby hills.
10/06 Fall Camporee
Description: Events starting at midnight and running as long as they could stay awake. Bitter cold that evening.
8/19/06 High Adventure
Description: Five days of wilderness camping with three of those days spent in a canoe. Fishing, hiking, and swimming, and cooking for twelve people over lightweight stoves, filtering our water on the way.

Description: Summer camp for a week. A lot of our boys made it back a second week.
5/19/06 Camp Pierre-Hoge
Description: Light hiking in Southwestern NH up Pitcher Mountain. Firing off rounds in a lashed-together trebuchet.
4/30/06 Spring Camporee
Description: Lots of advancement opportunities. At least 40 volunteers worked with 150 boys on merit badges and rank progression. Despite the 28 degree sleepover, the 70 degree sunshine was perfect.
3/18/06 USS Salem, Quincy, MA
Description: Tour of the battleship, treasure hunt, sleepover in the berth, harbor cruise on the T's catamaran, movies in the ward room.
3/10/06 Cranmore / King Pine
Description: Annual skiing and tubing event with lodging provided by a scout family cottage. At over 50 degrees and sunny, it was a near perfect weekend. The boys also like to bring up gaming systems for this 'campout'.
2/17/06 Camp Resolute
Description: Heated cabin camping for this cold event. The adults were challenged by the boys to capture the flag...and won.
1/21/06 Klondike Derby
Description: 50 degrees warmer than last year (yet, at 35F it was still hovering near freezing). Not much snow to drag a sled on, but they still had fun.
12/9/05 Winter Wah-Tut-Ca
Description: Well attended winter cabin camping. A few brave souls stayed outside, but the rest stayed cool at night every time the wood stove ran out. 2 16-pound deep fried turkeys were delicious.
11/04/05 Fall Camporee
Description: Theme: Plane Crash. About 85 scouts and 50 adults were on hand for this perfect-weather camporee. Patrols marched all about Camp Onway solving problems such as: bear bags, shelters, stretchers, first aid carries, and a rope bridge.
10/21/05 Mt. Monadnock / Wilderness Survival
Description: We climbed the mountain up a new trail this time. However, at the top it was raining sideways because of the strong winds. Also, three of the boys slept out in the rain in a shelter they built at Camp Wanocksett.
9/05 Cancelled
Description: This is the first time in many years we have had to cancel a monthy camping trip. The committee decided that the viral mosquitoes were too much of a concern.
8/21/05 150-mile bike ride
Description: Cycling up in Maine, we stopped and camped at three different locations. From Salisbury to Booth Bay Harbor we followed the coastline for some nice views.

Description: Our best-attended event of the year. 31 scouts came to this week long trip to work on rank, meritbadges, brotherhood, service, exploration, discovery and friendship.

Description: Camping on the mainland; cycling 35 miles on Martha's Vineyard. Perfect weather for a Saturday ride.
05/28/05 Beaver Valley Campground
Description: Baseball Hall of Fame visit in Cooperstown. Watched a game at Doubleday Field, practiced with the pitching radar gun, spent two night camping with skunks and rain.
04/30/05 Midnight Madness
Description: 6-stations with spy/agent theme. Very rainy, but not for sleeping.

Description: Cabin and tenting at Pioneer Valley Council camp in Springfield. Visit to Basketball Hall of Fame.

Description: Cabing camping. Skiing in a blizzard, and tubing on a great day.

Description: Cabin camping for most, tenting for a few the second night. Merit badge work for Orienteering and Mammal Study. Built bat boxes.

Description: Coldest recorded tent campout in 20 years. The temp dipped to -13.4F, but we still stayed toasty. 2 patrols competed in events during the next day.

Description: 2nd best trip of the year. We stay in a cabin, but encourage tenting for the braver scouts. Dinner is one highlight with 2 14-pound deep-fried turkeys.
